Imam Shafei's Advice for Gaining Allah's Light
Imam Shafei (RA) used to say that he spent 20 years in the company of Sufis. Whosoever wants that Allah SWT should open the doors of the Light of the heart for him, he must spend time alone, eat less, stop seeing and spending time with the feeble-minded, and consider worldly minded scholars to be his enemies.
