The Sun and the Lamp

Then, one feels pity over such people who say 'we are mureeds of such and such saint'. A person reads a book in the light of a lamp when it's night. Does that person still need that lamp after the sun has come out? I seek refuge with Allah, how does a spring compare with a river? But may Allah save us from jealousy, pride,and arrogance. I just wrote this out of sympathy, otherwise it doesn't matter to us (whether someone comes or not).
