The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said that the Shaitan waits while watching a persons Qalb. When the person is doing Zikr Allah, the Shaitan moves away. And when the person is neglectful of Allah's remembrance, the Shaitan moves ahead and injects different types of evil thoughts in the person's Qalb.
